Paper Destruction
High security paper shredders must be evaluated by the NSA to ensure they produce waste particles less than 1mm x 5mm. The NSA also performs a durability test for one hour where the maximum amount of paper is shredded. All NSA evaluated shredders are listed on the Evaluated Products List (EPL) prepared by the NSA. Paper shredders are also evaluated and listed by the waste size through DIN. All NSA evaluated shredders are DIN level P-7 by DIN standard 66399. For very high volumes of paper destruction, SEM offers a complete line of NSA Listed disintegrators. These devices have a very high throughput and are available with numerous options to assist with high volume classified paper destruction.
SEM also offers a full line of shredders that are ideal for the destruction of Unclassified or PII documents. They produce a 5/32” × 1 5/32”(4mm x 40mm) particle and are often referred to as DIN level P-4 by DIN standard 66399. For very high volumes of Unclassified/PII paper destruction, SEM offers industrial paper shredders. These machines have a very high throughput and are able to be run for extended periods of time.
