SEM is looking for an engaged warehouse specialist. In this role you will be heavily involved in inventory management including: receiving, shipping, cycle counting, and picking kits. We are looking for a detail oriented, quality focused individual that has a continuous improvement mindset.

Job Duties:

  • Daily shipping activities. Pick/Pack/Ship
  • Receive incoming product into facility
  • Pick product throughout facility for production kits and/or shipping
  • Daily shipping of parcels using Fed Ex and UPS computer systems
  • Loading and unloading of trucks using forklift
  • Crating industrial equipment for shipping
  • Drive company truck making pickups and deliveries
  • Complete daily cycle counts and support reconciliation process
  • Other duties as assigned

Experiences:

  •  Minimum 1 year warehousing experience preferred
  • Must have or be able to obtain Forklift Drivers Certification
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task with attention to detail
  • Valid driver’s license and safe drivers record

Skills:

  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office & ERP experience preferred) and strong basic math skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Welder and Metal Fabricator

Security Engineered Machinery, located in Westborough, MA, is seeking a candidate to fill the full-time position of Welder / Metal Fabricator to join our growing fabrication group. This position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks directly related to the fabrication and assembly of carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum sheet and plate products.

Job Duties:

  • Build various fabrications by reading and interpreting blueprints 
  • Produce quality products in an efficient / productive manner
  • Complete value-added processes such as drilling, tapping, post-machining, deburring and polishing
  • Move and handle large, heavy metal sheet, plate and parts using proper equipment
  • Assist with cleaning, wrapping, moving, loading and preparing completed product for shipment
  • Switch between job tasks / orders when necessary
  • Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment
  • Repair machinery when necessary
  • Follow company safety procedures and best practices 
  • Follow verbal and written directions
  • Perform other duties as required

Required Skills:

  • 1-3 years of welding experience
  • Recognize welding characteristics of metals and alloys
  • Understand welding best practice method and techniques
  • Read and interpret detailed drawings, take and read measurements
  • Proficient with the use of measurement instruments: micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, etc
  • Read blueprints and drawings
  • Good mathematical skills

Mechanical Engineer

Security Engineered Machinery, located in Westborough, MA is seeking a candidate to fill the position of Mechanical Engineer. This Engineer will be involved in the development and design of system controls for large industrial devices used in the sanitation of physical and electronic media. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in development of electrical controls, actuators, mechanisms, and electrical interfaces. In this function, the Engineer will also interface with all disciplines and be involved with the sales teams on large three-phase power capital systems requiring formal layouts using Autocad, BOMs, and calculations along with PLC controls and design of electrical controls.

Major Responsibilities:   

  • Create electrical schematics and logic using Autocad
  • Estimate budgets and time scopes for each project
  • Writing Technical Documentation
  • Support of new and existing products and also improving said products
  • Designing devices to monitor and control systems and machinery
  • Defining control algorithms and selection of tools
  • Overseeing installations
  • Development and implementation of hardware and software for control equipment
  • Ensuring that products meet compliance and regulations required
  • Produce facility layouts of large capital equipment using Autocad
  • Bill of Material (BOM) creation

Education and Experience:

  • Associates degree in or 3 years of experience in Control System Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with AutoCAD for layouts and Electrical Control
  • Solid Works experience is a plus
  • Electrical Control Panel Design for 3-phase power devises
  • Analytical and competent technical writing skills
  • Good communication skills: including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project
  • Understanding of and ability to apply engineering principals
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications, graphs, and compilation of data
  • Must be able to read and create electrical schematics
  • Must be able to work with and program PLCs
  • Operation of measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers is a must
  • Ability to discern power requirements for large capital equipment
  • Experience with 3 phase power

Precision Machinist

Security Engineered Machinery, located in Westborough, MA, is seeking a candidate to fill the full-time position of Precision Machinist to join our growing machining group. The Precision Machinist is responsible for the manufacture and inspection of high precision products of varying complexity, under limited supervision.  This person will also be responsible for the quality and quantity of work performed.

Major Responsibilities:   

  • Set up and operate various types of CNC lathes and/or machining centers in accordance with company policy, procedures and time standards.
  • Ability to read CAD drawings.
  • Perform various repetitive machining operations primarily on production work or tooling.
  • Machine precision products from drawings under minimal supervision and in accordance with established procedures using the ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches and work instructions.
  • Operate various types of machinery. CNC milling and turning.
  • Setup tools to precise tolerances in accordance with established procedures.
  • Inspect own work.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Education and Experience:

  • This position requires a minimum of 2 to 5 years’ experience setting up and running CNC mills and lathes.
  • Required skills and knowledge include the ability to calculate speeds and feeds, ability to read blueprints, knowledge of using calipers, micrometers and other measuring equipment, must possess strong analytical skills.
  • CNC turn-mill machining knowledge and experience preferred but not necessary.
  • Applicant must be able to multitask and problem solve with the ability to work well with others in a TEAM environment.
  • Applicant must possess strong organizational skills.
  • Applicant must have the ability to maintain machinery and auxiliary equipment.
  • Applicant must have the ability to handle a fast paced and changing manufacturing environment.
  • Education from technical / vocational school or higher education is a plus.
  • Proficient strong basic math skills are a plus.

  • Complete preventative maintenance and other required services on light and heavy duty specialized destruction/industrial equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment
  • Complete installations and integrations of customized destruction solutions
  • Assemble and erect ductwork and other ancillary items to support above installations

  • Review and perform electrical interconnecting and wiring

Qualifications:
